The foundation, EIN 45-2516181, is a non-profit corporation under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The foundation pays for all medical expenses not covered by insurance, including: travel expenses to treatment (airfare or mileage, hotels, meals), co-pays, deductibles, and prescription medicine.

As the foundation sponsors more children, fundraising is vital and ongoing.  Typical fundraising activities include community meal benefits, silent auctions, family fun fairs, concerts, family movie nights, concession sales at local events, golf tournaments, fresh veggie and pink pumpkin sales, Tori’s Angels t-shirts sales, and can and bottle redemption donations.  

 

The foundation is always looking for more children to help and believes that the Lord will provide what is needed.  We continue to be blessed with generous donations from community organizations, individuals, and local corporate donors.  We have received several grants that have covered the cost of event equipment and promotional items.  

 

The foundation has no employees, pays no salaries, and is run by all-volunteers.  There is no overhead as expenses of running the foundation are paid by the foundation’s board and council members.  All costs of fundraising activities are covered by donations from Tori’s Angels’ board members and community friends and corporations, so that 100% of event donations go directly to help our sponsored children with no fees withheld.

A benefit is typically held in the local community of the child accepted for assistance.  The foundation sponsors the fundraiser and works closely with a church or other group in the child’s community to support and promote the event.  This broadens the scope of support for the foundation.

We are grateful that our community “angels” continue their generosity.  Donations are accepted year-round at several central Iowa banks: Iowa Trust and Savings Bank and Guthrie County State Bank in Panora, Iowa, and Midstates Bank in Harlan, Iowa.  An online donation option is available on this website under the Support Us tab and the foundation’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/TorisAngels.
